1. Why do you blog?
Until I actually started in earnest with blogging I certainly would
not have answered the way I will answer now. I live in Houston &
one idle afternoon I bumped into Cote de Texas, a beautiful blog written by
another Houstonian, an Interior Designer named Joni.
From there the process began.

There are so many brilliantly talented people across the world and this
medium of finding & friending someone who has your same interests
and/or style is a big adventure. It is a way to reach across the oceans, the skys,
the stars and connect with another through the most basic of all
human capabilities, communication.

In this way of communication we have our own writing & speaking
style, and then we have photographs from literally everywhere available
to us to further express our thoughts & dreams.

When someone else who is blogging happens upon "our" site and they stop long
enough to read our words & leave a comment a connection is made.

From there we have limitless possibilities, don't we?
Further, the creative people who write their blogs have a desire to be accepted,
not just for their creativity, but for their humanity...

we are reaching out & touching someone in this new way.
Once hooked, forget about it, you're hooked, the content of your
posts become extremely important. You want to make each
post as wonderful as it can be. You don't post if you can't top what you've
already done (something all artists feel as they progress with their work,
the next one is always better than the last one, because the work is
the next one is always better than the last one, because the work is
evolving continually).
I have made some amazing beautiful connections via this process.
I can truly say I miss them when they are absent for a while,
and I hope they are OK.

Each day I take my little dogs out, grab my coffee & sit before my
computer screen to see what beautiful images await me.
It is my own private time, I'm still in my pj's.

And, on the day we learned of Marija's death, I cried.

2. What are your three best memories?
Dinner at Le Moulin de Mougins Restaurant
located 6km from Cannes, noted for their
truffle stuffed zucchini flowers, a
place so famous, & frequented by statesmen,
movie stars, everyone who is famous,
(& we were there too)
Christmas at home with a tree 22' high, it took
me 3 days to decorate it, the dinners, the party,
and my family.
My grandmother who is the real Mom-Mom.
Never bored, Brilliantly educated, Wonderfully Funny,
& she loved everyone, except my mother.
She made life as a child just so much fun for me.
