...Gone Too Soon

This morning I read the sad posting on her blog,  Bumpkin on a Swing,
that beautiful Lisa had succombed
to ovarian cancer on Sunday.
I am stunned.
She was a skyrocket, a room full of light,
her spirit was knit into every post and email.

I am heartbroken for her husband, John,
whom I've come to know during the Gulf oil disaster.

This music is for Lisa.

  1. I sit here stunned too Marsha, my heart is heavy at the news....I literally could not believe what I was reading earlier today.

Lisa was unique and special, easy to say but so true. The world needs more people like her and I have no doubt she will leave a huge gap in many people's lives.

She was a room full of light....you put that perfectly.

I feel very very sad right now....

    Hugs to you Marsha xoxo

  3. Marsha, I didn't know Lisa or read her blog. I'm sad for Lisa's family and for her friends like you. Lisa must have been a joyful friend who was taken too young. Take care, dear friend, and know that you are in my thoughts. ~ Sarah

  4. Hello Marsha,

I did not know Lisa or read her blog and wish I had. She sounds like she was a wonderful person. I just read several posts from her blog and about her Captain John. I will keep Captain John and their family in my prayers.

  5. I am saddened and shocked about this news. I have been absent from active blogging fir a few weeks and this was not what I was expecting. Lisa was warm and sincere and just beautiful. I adored her. She will be missed by so many.

  12. Dear Marsha,

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't have the pleasure to know Lisa, but can see from the response in the blog world how special she must have been. I have left comments over at her blog as well as at Trish's blog.

Reading these news so soon after Marija's tragic passing makes it all so sad and I can't stress enough how important and powerful our blog friendships are. Life is precious.

I love you and am thinking of you.

    Big hugs
    xx Charlotta

  13. Marsha,

I have been out of touch with everything and I am so sorry to hear of this news. We just returned home to find that one of my friends husbands was also killed this weekend and leaves behind a 4 year precious boy. Heartache is everywhere, and tears just keep coming. The sun still shines and I hope the warmth and brighter side of it speaks to those who have lost...soon.

Peace, love and a tissue from me to you. XO,

    Kelly

  15. I share the tears and brokenheartedness, having been touched by our Lisa, our Bumpkin. Thank you for this post. I did a tribute too.
I'm also joining your following, as I want to connect with others facing this tragic loss. Plus, our Bumpkin was and still is so good about bringing people together.
    Blessings,
    xoRobyn

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
