Then & Now

Portrait of Edith Vanderbilt
Biltmore Estate
Ashville, North Carolina

it seems evident that Mrs. Vanderbilt loved beautiful apparel...
wonder what she would think of today's selections.

Chanel Pre-Fall Shanghai 2010
 ohhhhhh those boots

Celine

similar outfit shown on model Abbey Lee Kershaw a few days ago

Ralph Lauren
an outfit for any day in a girl's life...

Burberry Prorsum

has to be my favorite day look this season

Diane Von Furstenberg
hat & scarf

Lanvin Fur Beret

Precious Gloves

accessories from Bergdorf-Goodman

if one has not been to Biltmore Estate it is a destination to be
placed on your to-visit list...during the holiday season the entire
estate is decorated for Christmas, with live music & carrollers...it is
truly a magnificient piece of American history and is still owned &
operated by the Vanderbilt heirs, a gift to all of us to behold.

  4. I have heard before how beautiful the Biltmore Estate is - but that foyer decorated for Christmas is exceptional!! And I love the Celine outfit - love that clean tailored but modern look - I was looking at something similar (but not quite as elegant) the other day - I like this beautiful blouse better.

  7. Love your blog, and even though I am personally not a fashionista, I do enjoy seeing those glorious outfits.
Now, my style is that gorgeous staircase all decked out for Christmas.
I'd love to try on those sparkly bracelets, so you may pick me if you like.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
