Tropic Thunder, My Way

as summer nears it's end
(thankfully, as we are suffering from hideous heat here in Texas),
my thoughts take me away to the cool blue waters....
like here

all inspired by this lovely illustration from
Danish artist Olaf Hajek

please go on over to meet Linda

and we get dressed for a lunch with all our friends who have gathered

simple, but splendidly opulent,  centerpiece made of fresh fruits & vegetables
with flowers tucked in...

lovely tropical-inspired bedroom
soft surroundings

& finally, an outfit of our dreams....

HPS everyone....

  7. Dearest Marsha,

Your visions here are mine as well; that sparkling blue pool of water has been my source of inspiration all summer long, and I don't even SWIM! But the color has opened up new views of life for me and it has been a splendid summer, in spite of that heat DOME that came over us! I start school on Wednesday.

Your comment really touched me. I don't know what is in store, but I do know that I have something inside of me that needs to be expressed, but like us ALL, I need to work at scratching at the surface to find it, and then WORK ON IT. Poetry is what I am studying at the moment and trying to incorporate that into my daily life. Thank you once again for reaffirming this with your wonderful response. I SEND YOU MUCH LOVE AND WISHES for a GREAT SEND OFF in September with all the ladies!!! Anita

  11. I feel peaceful listening to the Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy. I don't usually like re-makes, but i might like this even better than Sting's original!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
