don't worry, you know you won't find a recipe at Splenderosa.

today I received a nice comment about the lace shoes I posted
a couple of posts back and was asked "whose shoes are those."
I said Valentino, I think, but I'm not certain.
It was looked up. They were Valentino, that's why they are so beautiful.

& now this....

Valentino Spring/Summer 2012 Campaign

by Kate Van Raden

if you would like to see the complete collection please go HERE
inspired by Mexico in the early 20th century...
I think these pieces are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen...
& I really love the styling of the campaign, do you?

  1. C'est vraiment une extraordinaire et belle collection...
    gros bisous

  2. Marsha -- these are all quite lovely. Quite different from what we've been seeing lately.

  3. Honestly; I am almost as old as Valentino.......ever since his very first collection.....his first house with his first wife (who died); I have never seen one single thing he has designed or created......that I did not absolutely LOVE!

Not another human can I say that about! I have been a decorator....and fashion collector for well over forty years! "Not one misstep" Impossible?

No! ABSOLUTELY TRUE! (so sorry to shout!)

  4. I totally agree with you Marsha, these gowns are stunning and so elegant. Love the photos/campaign.

Your January posts are really spoiling us so far :) X

  5. Absolutely gorgeous Marsha ..... I think that I could wear every single one and it's not often that I can say that !!
Hope that your healthy lifestyle is going well !! Much love. XXXX

  6. So feminine; so positively gorgeous.
    All the best...Victoria

  7. PS Can I tell you how much I love the music you have on here....it's been the soundtrack to my morning, been playing it continually!! X

  8. Love the gowns, the styling, the mood. The artistry of couture dressing is captured so perfectly.

  9. Valentino gowns... yes, please! xo

  10. Oh to be tall, skinny and slightly flat chested! These clothes are to die for, but on a 5'3", curvy frame.....not so sure!

    Love to look!

  11. I'm not sure what Frida Kahlo would've thought about all the black & white, but she would've rocked that gorgeous red lace number!

  12. Very ethereal and definitely romantic!

  13. I know! How fabulous is that collection! Thanks for sharing!

  14. Blue lace dress is my favorite. They are all

  15. Just tooks my breath away,my dearest Marsha!!!

SO Valentino and SO feminine and gorgeous elegant!

    Totally impressed with it;-)*

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have take a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
