Do You Love A Pashmina?

I know I do.
They hit the retail market place when I was at Sak's 5th Avenue
& went for about $350.
We couldn't keep them in stock.

I've found about a million uses for them, even as table runners,
but mostly slung over one shoulder just to make a statement, or wrapped
around the outside of a coat, believe me when the winds are blowing
this is the best way to keep from freezing.

Take a look at the sample piece I just acquired and tell me if you would purchase
something like this, as a gift or for yourself?

this is a large size 40" X 80"
& is reversible

this is the size I prefer for myself.

they are also available in
24" X 80"

the large size will be about $150.
the small size about $ 110.

Fall is here, we need these items now don't we?
& my girlfriends would D.I.E. to be gifted with one.

they come in so many color variations it's impossible to show right now,
but please tell me what you think about them.

would you be likely to purchase?

Happy Sunday !!!

the location of the previous post's beautiful photo is
Queenstown, New Zealand
so we have a winner of the earrings.

  2. Very pretty pashminas Marsha. I've had a large grey one I bought in England about 10 years ago and wouldn't be without it when I travel. It is the best, most versatile thing in the world. I now own several others but my grey one remains my staple. I love the blue and burgundy hues of the first one you show very much.

  3. Gorgeous image posted yesterday! By the way, I think you mean Queenstown, which is a town in New Zealand. Queensland is a state of Australia.
I love pashminas, and particularly those that are a more generous size. I prefer the one in the warm colours. I think if you are thinking of offering them, they would sell well, especially at the prices you've indicated.
    Cheers,
    Deborah - Melbourne, Australia.

    1. Oh Deborah, thank you for correcting Queenstown. I've made the change. How embarrassing?
And, for your comment about the pashminas.

    2. Hi Marsha, not embarrassing at all - just a typo! Sorry to be the pain who pointed it out!

I loved seeing the photos of your loungeroom. Such a lot of light and sense of spaciousness, with those big expanses of glass. I really respond to light filled rooms! If you are wanting to change the look, perhaps you might consider recovering the sofa and chairs in a beautiful Belgian linen in soft greys and creams. Do you ever visit Greet Lefevre's blog "Belgian Pearls"? She often posts images of stunningly beautiful interiors. I thought the look could suit the palette that you have in the floors and walls.
      Anyway, just a thought!
      Cheers,
      Deborah - from Melbourne

  7. I still love my pashminas. I don't care if they are in or out of fashion. They are warm and cosy summer or winter. I have a couple of lovely ones I bought when I was in India.

I love to wear pashminas, shawls and large scarves throughout the year here, except for high summer. Of the pashminas you have pictured, the gorgeous paisley in deep purple and blue is my favorite. Of what fabric/s is it made, and does the reverse side look the same? (Aren't all shawls or pashimas reversible?) If this pashmina has no synthetic in its composition, it would go to the top of my Christmas list if it became available.

  9. Not only do I love them but own them in several colors. My friend has a very successful business built on pashminas! I think your price point is great, so think it would be a really good addition....if they are high quality, I say go for it!

  12. Good Afternoon Marsha, Firstly, thank you for visiting Ivy, Phyllis and Me! it was very kind of you. So I thought I would pop over to visit you and say hello and I am so glad I did as I adore pashminas and I am very lucky to get them direct from India, as that is where my daughter lives. I love the Autumnal colours and my favourite are the paisley designs.
Marsha, I love the music you have playing on your blog, can I ask you who the singer is, the music is familiar, but I just cannot place it.
I have really enjoyed my visit and I have become your 970th follower....that is a lovely round number.
    Enjoy your Sunday.
    Best Wishes

  16. I love pashminas and they can add a chic touch to any outfit ! I especially like the ones you showed us in your post ! I never go out without one, from Fall to Spring and even sometimes I have linen pashminas in my bag when it's summer ;)
I wanted to thank you for your feedbkack on my older post, I am glad you liked my bag and blazer...about the jeans, from time to time I like to wear shabbier clothes, but if you come and see my latest outfits I think you will like them more since it seems you prefer the classier, more ladylike looks ! I valued your opinion a lot :) A big hug, Vale

  17. I love pashminas, and have a rather large collection of them. Yours are gorgeous! I am sure they will sell well in your shop.

I hope you had a great day watching the games.

  18. We never travel anywhere without a pashmina. I always take them on flights with me and when we are travelling around the country we always have a couple in the car for impromptu picnics or to use if it gets chilly.
    Sending lots of love Marsha.

  21. Who cannot love Pashimnas! I certainly do! Have only one. Being too concerned about how they are made. Don't really want to talk about, don't want to spoil this lovely post with wonderful pieces! But as a hopeless scare collector I might have to think again.....You've "catched" me, my dear Marsha!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
