Yes or No ?

how do you guys feel about this much of an open-concept bathroom?
by Zantos Interiors

for me, it's a "no thank you."

I've been in hotel rooms where this has been a featured luxury
and even when I was very young and just married I don't think I would
have found this appealing.

for some reason I just like my own space and time.

what do you think?

  1. I am the same way, I like my own space and time as well. Although it looks very attractive I'm going to side with you and say no.

  2. It's a really interesting trend which is starting to gain some traction… I often do bathrooms where the vanity basins are part of the visible "entryway" into the bathroom…a bit like an old fashioned powder rooms in the fancy department stores from years gone by…but the wc itself is better discretely tucked away, I think. (And that's how I always design them.) On the other hand, each to their own, and it makes it an interesting world if we have a variety of different ways of living.

  3. A definite no thank you for me too. Not a fan, it might look good for a layout but to live in real life day to day? No....I like my privacy and my own space!

  5. Non, non, non as loudly as I can. Our latest house didn't have a entrance door into the bathroom and that was the very first thing we changed. I hope this is a fad and will go away soon. It's pretty, but.............

  7. Gorgeous design. If the bedroom has a door with a lock, AND if the wc has its own separate area with a door, I'm okay with this. I would add an ornate pocket door...such as this one http://www.pinterest.com/pin/349662358539959529/.
    Have a lovely weekend, Marsha.

  11. Agree, dont want to look at toilets, sinks and the like from my bedroom. Though having said that, I stayed at the Ocean House (Watch Hill RI) in one of the most incredible rooms EVER with a sweeping view of the ocean from the deep luxurious tub. But when the "shutters " were open from tub to see ocean, that meant the other person in the room could watch you bathing.

  12. No thank you, no thank you and NO thank you! I agree with you and much prefer my own space to do my own thing and time to do it without having to compete for space or sharing. Who really wants to observe the other doing all those personal things anyway! So I prefer the 'his and her' option and a LARGE closet to go with it. To me, that arrangement is REAL luxury that anyone would desire...but to each his own. Greetings to you, Mary

  13. Beautiful photography shot, catches everyone's attention but perhaps only if a woman looks like Tom Brady's wife, not so much for me.

  15. No, no, no, no, no. I love a beautiful, calming bathroom...to read in the bathtub...to put on make-up...to play around with a new hairstyle, and baby, I want utter privacy, please. That is the one place where I want to be all alone. Marilyn in Mt. Vernon, Virginia.

  17. yes in a hotel room, i would like mine at home more open, but i think it would be impractical in most homes, and no one wants to listen to someone else going to the loo !

  18. Adore the room, but request a door. I just don't get that! Wonder what the two holes in the wall for the T.V. are for also. Other than the lack of the door, this room is so peaceful with it's quiet colours.

  19. A elegant room but even as a young adult I would have wanted my privacy!! Now, I really want my privacy and no mirrors..lol!! Happy Sunday to you Marsha. xox

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
