& the winner is.....

hands down, the most beautifully attired woman of the evening,
Cate Blanchett
in Armani

also,
HANDS DOWN

the absolute worst introduction ever heard,
what Tina Fey said when introducing the fabulous Leo DiCaprio.

& the cutest acceptance speech award goes to our own  fellow Texan,
Matthew McConnoughey.

& Diane Keaton?
just right !

I was disappointed that James Spader didn't win, however,
one cannot be upset that Brian Cranston did win.

now, on to next weekend's playoff game between

New England & Denver

this is going to be a difficult one to take sides on, isn't it?

  1. ...gotta love the leadership qualities of Peyton Manning. I would love to see he and our Russell Wilson on the field Superbowl Sunday. I loved Kate's dress too! McConnoughy is the closest acting personality to Paul Newman I have ever seen.
    Happy New Year, Marsha!
    GO HAWKS!

  2. There is only one playoff game on Sunday that matters: The San Francisco 49ers vs The Seattle Seahawks! It's being played in Seattle which worries us because the Seattle Fans are loud, rude and crazy! . (Unlike the quiet, sophisticated, classy 49er fans!) WE WILL WIN ON SUNDAY! Next stop? Super Bowl in New Jersey.

  3. Hi Marsha, no difficulties taking sides at our house, my husband is from Boston. Things will get interesting, though, if the Seahawks and the Pats fight it out in the Superbowl. That might require a little couples counseling!

Couldn't agree more about Cate. She looked amazing! And Lupita Nyong'o continues to knock it out of the park every time.

    Happy Monday to you. XO

  4. Haven't watched yet due to time zones but I have seen the dresses and I agree! Cate was the winner for sure with her hair and pulling off seamlessly what is actually a difficult dress to carry off! X

  7. Agreed! just put up my post and hope you will stop by to vote. I chose Cate as the winner too...and there were many other beautiful looks but several misses too. I am always shocked by what some come out with given all those resources!!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
