Black Friday or This....

how many of us love driving around to see the lights?

yes, we all do.

especially me.

in some Houston areas the decorations of the homes exceeds the decorations
ANYWHERE.

some of the big homes are lit up from each side of their lawns to the street with
lighting spectaculars.

& it takes a crew of people, all professionals, to create some of this magic.

& it is magical.

last night Post Oak Boulevard
(our Rodeo Drive)
hosted about 250,000 people to watch the carollers, + all the other entertainers,
the lighting of the boulevard with 100's of Christmas trees,
Santa arriving by helicopter (only in Texas, we know)
and then a big, beautiful fireworks display.

this marks the beginning of the holiday season in our city and,
therefore, for me too.

& it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas !!!

I have a 2-hour playlist of Christmas music playing, hopefully for your enjoyment,
it's mostly instrumentals with some well-known singing voices.

Happy Holidays, everyone of you, my friends.
my life has been made so much better by all of you.

  1. We are so lucky to have such beautiful lights in Houston! Last night we could even hear the fireworks and see a glimpse thru the trees with the lighting on Post Oak! Love taking a drive with hubs and taking in all of the lights while listening to and singing Xmas music!
All of this shopping hype leaves me a tad cold! I much prefer the ideas in your first pic!
Thanks for highlighting our beautiful city,Marsha!

  2. Hello love. You know that I have already made comment of your lovely playlist! I played The Splenderosa List in the kitchen while Mr D and I were cooking and packing the savories for travel to Thanksgiving dinner.
Everyone wore blue in honor of the Seahawks.
Your playlist would be perfect music for a night out in the lights!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
