Do You See What I See ?

from Tereza @ CasaTresChic
so many things to love about this room,
but I'm not certain about the way they installed the deep crown moulding on the window wall.
what about you?

  3. Well, since you asked . . .
Agreed on the crown moulding, it chops up the window wall. Don't like the little dangly lights, either. The shots of color are great -- nice to see calming neutrals after so much color and zing pre-holidays. And the loggia outside looks inviting.
The second room puts me to sleep. And I'd likely trip over that raised carpet pattern, so no go on that one.
The third room is lovely, luxe and relaxing. But that rug is probably not for someone with dogs. :-)

  4. The bedroom is gorgeous, especially the vintage moulding and wall covering - and I don't have dogs so it would work, haha!

The first room - agree that the crown molding is ugly. Why would anyone truly require ceilings that high and two levels of windows in one room? Same people who need otoman/coffee tables that look like beds!!!!
Of course living here in a 1200 sq.ft. cottage is much different and more cozy - for me it works (bits shown in my post today).
Happy, healthy, full of joyful moments, New Year Marsha - thank you for bringing so much beauty to the blog world.
    Hugs - Mary

    1. You are too too funny. The main thing I thought was a total miss (along with the moulding) was the fact that they used small openings, high windows...why not just make the entire wall of glass so you could truly embrace that open space and have virtual space extending outdoors. Signs of a tract house builder for sure.

  5. Wow. This is a tough one. I wonder if it looks different from another camera lens? Or how about the entire room, of what we don't see? I agree too, that I don't care for how it looks around the windows but it got me wondering about the rest of the room.

    1. Like my comment above, why didn't they just make the entire wall of glass !!

    2. The wall of glass, or a lower ceiling. Or both. Wonder what the rest of the place is like?
Mary's comments about the coffee tables that look like beds = spot on.

I think it's the lack of human scale -- it's unsettling and not at all comfortable.

  10. The autocorrect completely messed up my comment. I am starting over!

The second one......bed coffee tables.....nightmare sectional that "ate the room".

Love the third one's wallpaper......HATE the rug......awful beyond. There.

Now, Penny, what do you REALLY think???

I am now a certifiable cranky old bat!

But I have lots of fun new clients! So!!??!! I'm not changing!!!!
