My Theory

(image of the Diana Fountain, Bayou Bend Gardens, Houston Museum of Fine Arts property,

transitional dressing.

here in Houston we're not certain exactly what this means as our climate
usually consists of 200 days of Summer, 20 days of Winter,
& the rest divided into Fall & Spring.

however, we do travel, thankfully.

for the rest of my readers, the ones who actually live in locations where we have 4 actual Seasons,
the little outfit above would be absolutely wonderful!

for any age, any size.

the Linella wool/cashmere blend funnel-neck sweater is beautiful in this silver gray color,
love the way it fits, it's design is flattering to everyone.

& that perfect leopard-print skirt, the Marvita A-Line shaped, would become a staple for me.
wood/nylon knit pull-on skirt, below the knee making it wonderful for our Fall shoes/boots.

& both from THEORY in a really great price point,
both pieces are very affordable.

please let me know what you think...would you wear this?

I know I would....and could wear it almost every single day during the season.
I especially love the fact that the pieces are not married.
either could go without the other, you know?

& this JOIE "Matricia" PONCHO ?
terrific.
pop it on over the outfit above or wear it 100 other ways,
love the pattern, texture...and yes, even with the leopard print skirt.

wool/poly, under $300, you can find it here

& ummmmm what a wonderful Christmas gift for someone!!
right?

  3. Poncho, is great looking. Being 5 ft.2 Always felt to short when I wore mine.
Been thinking of Houston for a week now. All the youth of my life. River Oaks, Herman Park.
Wondering if the friends I knew are still living. Do you know John L Maida? Vincent Alfano?
Johnnie Dunn Insurance. Pat Corley? Joe Geoconne (Pizza) Michael Butera, Ben Amato
Paul Berlin (KNUZ) Finger Furniture store , Lamar Hotel, Shamrock Hotel, Tidelands.
Father Lacy at St. Ann's, Golly these names just came so easy. I wonder if Annunciation
Church is still by the train station. Renee went to school at St. Anns. Is it still there?
Well it is 60 degrees this AM. Have stepson coming for a visit with beautiful wife, from DC.
Stay well and enjoy the Day. yvonne

  4. YES, I would wear that first combination...perfection! Marsha, as to the second, not so sure as I don't like things that can slip off.

  5. Love both the sweater and skirt but as I have similar pieces in my wardrobe I should wear them!!!
I'm now thinking lightweight coats - my favorite piece for Fall/Winter as it does get chilly here (and I can hardly wait!). I may treat myself to a new lightweight wool coat in a BRIGHT color for a change - my black tweed, camel and grey are nice classics, but I need to step out of my neutral box while I still can!!!

    Hugs - Mary

  6. Hi Marsha. Now that I'm in huntington beach we don't have much of a winter either. But I would definitely wear that first outfit. That's my taste. I can't believe its only 30 days till Fall. This summer flew by.

  7. Its hard to believe its 30 days until Fall...Here in So. Cali we really don't have a Fall season...were still at the beach through out September and sometimes the beginning of Oct...and than winter hits! By than I'm craving cold weather so I can wear my boots and put on a cozy sweater.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
