Add This

to magically update and empower your outfit...

a touch of lace,
sheer lace to show a bit of skin,
or lace over silk to create the illusion.

a seriously serious luxury feature,
one which has survived centuries & is always beautiful.

the tuxedo suit with a little lace cami underneath is raised to an entirely new level, isn't it?

Givenchy SS 16

& for a little added improvement...

IF YOU HAVE A SKIRT YOU REALLY ONCE LOVED
but now it seems too short or the slit is to high,

ADD LACE
like below, make the slit wider & pop some awesome lace under the slit &
you have a NEW skirt !!!

Totally beautiful, wonderful, feminine and edgy at the same time, Splenderosa says.

same with the oh-so-beautiful Oscar outfit...
even though I cannot wear it this way any longer, I mean with the sheer lace top,
I'll have to put a jacket or maybe a silk blouse with the skirt...

&, again, IF YOU HAVE A SHIRT you think is too short,
add some majorly expensive lace to the bottom of the hem
and, voila, you have a masterpiece !!

Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2016 | NYFW

this dress, below, is SO me.
I love the long sleeves, the serious, tailored bodice, the dropped waist,
& the tiers of ruffles trimmed with lace.

& a black pump.

no fluffy hair, pulled back with that giant bow is what completes this look,
elegantly beautiful, with a touch of whimsy.

  2. A little bit of lace, just a peek, can change our whole day, it makes us feel frivolous, just a little naughty, it's a touch risqué; it doesn't have to be any of these but in our heads it gives us that slightly carefree feeling and it puts a spring in our step. Thanks for this, now I'm off to find a touch of lace to put under a cashmere sweater for the day!

    1. Yes, Elizabeth, we do dress up. Church, luncheons, teas, dinner, galas, benefits, or beautiful parties at someone's home. But not in summmer, it's just too hot - so those who can afford to leave Texas, do.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
