Was She ?

was she the most beautiful woman in the world?

looking at this amazing photograph, I would say, yes, she was.

after her, I think Angelina Jolie is the most beautiful...
but then we must count Catherine Deneuve, Keira Knightley,
Gisele Bundchen, and Gigi Hadid, right?

who would you choose?

come on now, guys...this is important isn't it?

  1. I would have to say that Raquel Welch, Grace Kelly and Ann Margaret are my top three most beautiful women with Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Lauren coming in as strong runners-up.

  2. Sorry. I just don't see it in Gisele. I had the pleasure of meeting Princess Grace. Even when she had aged and gained some weight, she had a beautiful face. She had a glow from within.

  3. No contest...Elizabeth Taylor in her glory years! That photo is divine! Your other choices? Not bad...but only one when one is the best!

  4. An iconic yet troubled beauty.

  5. I agree that Elizabeth Taylor was beautiful, but to say she was the most beautiful woman in the world removes her from consideration. For, how can any one woman be the most beautiful. Then there's the definition of beauty, distinguished from "pretty"; what truly makes a woman beautiful? I'm sure there would be many notions about that!

  6. I don't think that anyone can say who is most beautiful. Beauty is absolutely in the eye of the beholder.

  7. Catherine Deneuve is way up there for managing to still look gorgeous. Sophia Loren does the same.

  12. I don't think that any one woman is the most beautiful ...... there are many, I think Marsha..... and, I guess we all see beauty in many different ways. I don't think that Elizabeth Taylor's beauty bought her happiness either ..... beauty can be a bit of a disadvantage can't it Marsha ?
    Sorry, I've put a bit of a damper on this haven't I ?!!!!!!
Hope you are well Marsha .... I'm missing BIO !!!!!! XXXX

  13. The possibilities go on and on...although I love Liz. Hedy Lamarr, Vivien Leigh, Audrey Hepburn, Virna Lisi, Ava Gardner, etc ... I know it sounds hackneyed, but they are all beautiful and different....

  14. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I can't see any beautiful things like charme e.g.
in the faces of Gisele or Gigi or any other model along the way. They all can not compare with Audrey Hepurn, Liz Taylor and more who look great also in their advanced age.

  15. yes- Liz in her heyday. Also, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn ,Catherine Denueve, Vivian Leigh. Today Christy Turlington. I tend to like the ones with great strong cheekbones/very symmetrical and classic bone structure. Not a lot of todays actresses /models have that. Do love Gigi Hadids look though. -Linda, NY

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
