I'm HOME in HOUSTON

LOOKING EAST FROM MEMORIAL DRIVE
how the Buffalo Bayou ( RIVER ) flooded over everything, all streets & major highways.

Houston Flood Yale Street I-10 Hurricane Harvey

I 10, East of 610 completely submerged

Houston Flooding Harvey Heights Yale I10

I sincerely thank each and every one of you who have donated via my blog.
some of you gave many multiples of $25, the amount I asked for, and which me & my
family & friends quadrupled.
So, each $25 became $100.

you have NO idea how many babies, seniors & animals we have helped so far.

and it's continuing.

we are moving all the large livestock out to the country to our friend's farms & ranches,
the dogs & cats are being fostered everywhere it's dry.

we put the word out,
and TEXANS responded.

ALL OF YOU RESPONDED TOO.

diapers, formula, blankets, towels, baby clothes, baby apparatus etc.
has been rolled in from Dallas, San Antonio, Ft. Worth, Austin, Wichita Falls,
Lubbock, Amarillo and all over Texas & elsewhere

direct responses to our requests to our friends via social media & phones.

for seniors
we have brought in bedding of all kinds, blankets, sheets, jogging clothes in all sizes,
even reading glasses, small luggage pieces & walkers.

for the animals,
I already told you, and all of you know how much I love animals, & I'm telling you again IF I COULD TAKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM TO A PLACE OF MY OWN, I WOULD.

many many many many animal rescues by our cousins, friends and volunteers.
all risking their own lives in doing so.

we pray for all the victims who have lost everything inside their homes,
and may not get back into their homes for a year or more.

We must tell you our hometown guy, J J Watt,
should be put on a pedestal !!

so should Mattress Mack of Gallery Furniture

H E B Grocery Stores, hq'ed in Texas have full length 18-wheeler trailers outfitted with
showers, bathrooms, etc. for victims,
and 18-wheelers loaded with FREE FOOD, WATER, ETC.

& TO MY FELLOW CITIZENS,
EACH AND EVERY PERSON WHO WAS ABLE PITCHED IN & ACTUALLY VOLUNTEERED,
risking their lives & property to help out.

PEOPLE:

THIS IS AMERICA !!!

THIS IS WHAT WE DO, AND NO OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH CAN OR WILL
DO THE SAME THINGS.

ONCE AGAIN, WE SHOULD BE VERY VERY PROUD.

to read about JJ's fund
at this moment it about $20,000,000

ALL of the merchandise has been donated by businesses and individuals.

also, MICHAEL DELL OF DELL COMPUTERS
HQ'ed in Austin
donated $15,000,000
of his personal money to help out.

this is gonna take lots more money, lots more help.
but the good news, is that we are
HERE ON THE GROUND

fema and all the other organizations like RedCross,
supply things we can't supply.

I love all of YOU !!!!

  2. I thank God that everyone is donating and helping out. That's what us American's do is take care of each and everyone of us.

We are experiencing Wild Fires here in So CA very close to Los Angeles with extreme heat in the 100's and high humidity.

Saying prayers for all of Texas and areas of flooding. So glad that you are okay.

  4. The people of Texas have my heartfelt sympathy and prayers but to say:

THIS IS WHAT WE DO, AND NO OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH CAN OR WILL
    DO THE SAME THINGS.

What nonsense. Have you heard of Australia? I am an Australian and we have severe flooding and bushfires as do many other countries Think before you make such statements. Ann from Sydney,Australia.

    1. So sorry if I offended you, Ann. I was only stating my pride for OUR efforts HERE in HOUSTON
which is my hometown. Come on over, you'll find we are so much like Australians. xx's

  5. Thank you Marsha...we have donated to JJ Watt/NFL...and others.... our Son lives on Tiki Island, TX and works for UTMB. He is a volunteer in his department and stayed. He sent his dog and cat with a neighbor to Fort Worth last Thursday. Thankfully, his condo and island was spared from H. Harvey. He is one of the fortunate ones.... his neighbor is returning soon with his dog and cat. Thank for making us aware of JJ Watt and his philanthropy. God Bless

    1. Yes, I knew your son lived on Tiki Island in Galveston. Thankfully, he and the animals are OK. We proudly connected with JJ Watt in his fundraising efforts. ALL of the money we collected went into his fund. Thank you for this lovely comment, Susan. xx's

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
