  1. WHEN I used to cook Thanksgiving dinner, it was usually around 1:00 p.m. Since I have done the cooking since I turned 19 (and I'm now 58) I absolutely, positively refuse; it is time for another family member to step up.

  3. When I was a child in PA my grandmother had 'dinner at 2' - lots and lots of children and their parents and until we were 16 we ate in the kitchen and took care of all the little children and babies. In VA When I was grown I followed the timing to a T since I had children and my sister had children but our family was smaller than when we where children. I'm in LA now and so all my holidays are travel to my children's homes and it is rare we are all together for Thanksgiving. As a matter of fact, every Thanksgiving I have spent in LA since 2005. I miss those days of past.

  4. I had Thanksgiving for over 40 years but now we go to our daughters. She has been having dinner around 5 or so to accomodate the 2 families and the kids.

  5. I'm the cook and we eat around 2. This year, I'll be blessed to have my husband, my 3 sons, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law...all the Jubinville men. I'm almost always outnumbered gender-wise, but it's good to be Queen!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
