  1. Hi Marsha. 2 of my favourites are illustrated (fab picture). Chanel no 5 & Vivienne Westwood Boudoir. I love powdery scents I like to smell like my childhood memories of powder compacts. I also like D&G the one and Guerlain Shalimar. Kind regards Sharon.

  2. Well my all time favourite is Arpege - fell in love with it primarily due to a 1980's advert - seemed so sophisticated!
My other favourite is Miracle by Lancôme - my daughter gave me the latest bottle I have - makes me believe in magic.

  3. Hi Marsha -
I'm back in the USA and fighting a beastly cold - can't even smell my favorite perfumes right now!

I enjoy four special fragrances -

For everyday running around, a splash of refreshing L'Occitane's 'Lemon Verbena' eau de toilette.
For special daytime happenings - Nina Ricci's 'L'Air du Temps' perfume.
For evening, Elizabeth Arden's classic Red Door perfume.

. . . . but my favorite is an eau de toilette (and so hard to find now as I think it's being discontinued) is Dior's 'Escale á Portofino'. I first discovered it a few years back in a lovely shop on the Crystal Serenity cruise ship as we sailed out of Venice - and of course bought a bottle. For me it's the perfect fragrance - light and very Mediterranean.

Happy New Year Marsha. I'll pop over to 'meet' your daughter soon.
    Hugs - Mary

  5. Marsha, two of my very favorite perfumes are Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt and Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. I discovered the Jo Malone perfume on my first trip to Paris at The Galleries Vivienne and it always reminds of that trip. Light Blue just has a wonderful scent and I am almost always complimented when I wear it. I do love perfume and wear it everyday no matter what! It is as essential to me as mascara!

    1. My faves too!! Most anything by Jo Malone except the real flowery stuff like the rose scent. They make many good citrus and spice colognes.

  6. The Happiest of New Year to you sweet lady. My all time favorite perfumes are Shalimar and Opium. I love to wear Shalimar in the spring and summer and Opium, because of its spiciness in the fall and winter. I have worn both for over 25 years and every now and then think I need to make a change, however, I always go back to these wonderful fragrances. Chanel No. 5 is worn for special dates with my husband...takes me back to our honeymoon in Paris. Have a wonderful 2017 Marsha. Your Tanglewood neighbor.

  7. I seem to use the same fragrance for years... In the 60's and 70's it was Shalimar. In the 80's it was Opium and from the early 90's to today it has been Angel. After my divorce in the early 90's I was ready for a change and every time I walked through Saks I would sample a different fragrance. Again and again I kept coming back to Angel by Thierry Mugler and I have used it ever since and probably will never change again!

  10. I used Chanel Chance for years, people tell me they think of me when they smell it. A few years ago I ordered a sample of les exclusifs de chanel, Sycomore and fell in love. It's my number one perfume now.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
