The Most Beautiful Time of the Year

There is nothing to equal the beauty of

Washington DC

during cherry blossom time

The National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 20th to April 27th,
with the expected peak bloom between March 24th to the 28th.

Peak bloom is defined as the dates on which 70 % of the blossoms will be open
on the Yoshino cherry trees surrounding the Tidal Basin.

This year, we'll celebrate the centennial of that first gift
of 3,020 cherry trees from Japan to the United States in 1912.

  2. Exquisite... I would go mad here with my camera... I have always wanted to visit Japan during blossom time and now I see that I can do the same in Washington. My daughter has a friend working there at the moment and I will send her this link. Just breathtaking...

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
