In The PINK...2

I love orchids.  Not cut stems, the actual plant with blooms.
They are actually so easy to take care of & they last almost forever.
One of my girlfriends actually has them reblooming within the year.
My kitchen is the best place for them.
Just pop them into a big bowl container, covered with moss &
mist the stalks a couple times a day.
You can add cut roses in tiny vases at the bottom, bunched
tightly into clumps of a color,
& spread the moss around the vases. This changes the
look of the arrangement, so it's ever-changing & you never
get tired of it.
Often I've had orchids last 3 months blooming away.
For this reason they are not expensive...I just amortize the cost.

which one do you like?
& why?

  2. I am in love with the third kitchen. Very European with lots of country style. I love and collect copper and wood, so it fits me like a glove. I am now a follower, I don't know where your blog has been all my life. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

  3. Happy PiNk, Marsha...

I love orchids although I've never kept them..I always say I should buy one and try it...now I think I will. :0)

My favorite kitchen is the last photo..the commercial style ranges going all the way down the wall with the super long kitchen table with all the pots hanging overhead...it is utilitarian elegance at it's best and I love that look.

That is how I designed the kitchen in a cottage I used to own. I even went so far as to have no built in cabinets..I bought everything from the restaurant supply store using the stainless steel tables with a single shelf below...used these between the appliances and along one wall. I do wish I still had those photos...digital files long gone from 6 years ago and several moves ago. :0)

Thank you for visiting with me and strolling through my studio..it's been a labor of love to put together and now after a year in our home I feel like I can "spread my wings" and fly!

    Have a wonderful day,
    Stephanie ♥

  5. The country style, naturally -smile-. It's the one that speaks to my heart, the one where I could cozy up with the Good Book and wile away some time while I was being renewed, refreshed and restored.

  8. That last one is my favorite. I love the table and end chairs and the black shelving/windows/doors in the back are to die for.

  9. The 4th one spoke to me. I think it jumped out b/c of the floor color. Same as mine, and I don't like mine...so this picture gives me great hope :)

  16. Marsha!

Love all these images of orchids and gorgeous kitchens. I kinda like the 1st kitchen. I think because my husband and I enjoy cooking together and the set-up is perfect for entertaining. Also, for whatever reason, the word *heady* came to mind; I'm thinkin' in the context of earthy, dripping with style, and a touch of antiquity thrown in. I really like that container with the branches, the height and weight on that long island/table.

With that said, I really need to redesign two of my bathrooms... soon, very soon. And I will post on Tres Joli Home when I start working on them for fun -- but it will be a while, unfortunately. ::sigh:: Beautiful kitchens and bathrooms are so fun to study and dream about! Thank you for the gorgeous inspiration and imagery. You are so gifted.

    {xoxo}

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
