Splenderosa's New Look

Hello lovelies...now that the fashion season for Fall has arrived
I felt the strong need to reformat my blog home to represent this
seasonal change...anyway there is nothing more exciting to girls
who love fashion than CHANGE, right?

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.

Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas,
the way we live, what is happening.”

CoCo Chanel

A couple of weeks ago you saw my Escada "if-I-could-buy-only-one-outfit"
post, but that was before I had seen this:

A perfect Fall 2010 look, for any age & any size.
Really.  A skirt or pants
The boucle jacket is wonderful, and so is the
bouillon fringe (if you have a great jacket already
run out to the nearest good fabric store, buy some
awesome pillow/upholstery/drapery trim & sew
it on).

Ralph Lauren
now we know a petite ladybug probably isn't going to
rock this look, & it might not work too well in Houston
because of our climate...but hey...it's fashion & it's
Ralph...it's American!
note button at side of pant leg, & I think there is a vest,
& a sweater with the big curly or furry trim, then
the completely "must have or die" blouse!

& if you like the look of the individual artisan piece
it's on Etsy, go to the link below
love the monochromatic beiges/creams with the black.
the black boots & blouse + jewelry makes for a brilliant
funky, gypsy, whimsical showstopper.  Don't get carried
away and do any "western/cowboy" thing to this idea...
then it's a costume.

all, Elie Tahari...looking good

Etro, the fabulous Italian fashion house
has given us the perfect LBD (for those of us who wear sleeveless).
Don't like their stockings, even on the runway.
A very narrow stripe, or a fine lace pattern, on sheer black
would be good. And Stuart Weitzman makes the best &
most comfortable platform pump - perfect for this dress.
Then add your fox fling, or a fabulous black cape,
some gold jewelry, and a little leopard bag -
 which is your statement piece.
You're ready for a meeting, a cocktail party,
a day in your office, & then a date
with your guy.
So nice.

when the holidays arrive, change the animal print for RED
& each of these outfits will be so sharp and festive...

  10. Who is the designer for the jacket in the opening photo, please? You mentioned Escada, but not sure that was in reference to this piece. Great coverage on the fashions for fall. I agree with you about the black patterned hose...ick! Thank you for sharing your research. Cherry Kay

  13. I love your make-over blog look! Ah Ralph,Ralph Ralph every time for me. And CoCo too. My eldest daughter opened a new Hair/Beauty salon earlier this year and she has the CoCo quote,
'A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous' in big lettering across one wall!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
