A Little Imagination...
& some creativity
some jars/vases/bottles on a wooden table & a bench..with branches...needs nothing else.
I've been thinking a lot about creativity within ourselves.
In order to be truly creative we must be free enough toembrace the thoughts swimming around in our heads.
No one can be creative when under huge amounts of stress,or work-a-day problems.
And, creativity needs time. Time is a luxury & a necessity to creative people.Being alone with enough time to let your mind flow is a huge partof the process.
For those younger than me who haven't realized your full potential yet, maybe you don't even know what you want yet...take time tobreathe in what makes you happy, what rejuvenates you. When you recognize what that is, pursue it with all your strength.Don't let anyone deter you. If you are certain, you will succeed.
a collection of anything can be arranged and made beautiful,as shown by the photography of Johnny Miller, who shoots a lot of editorial content for Martha Stewart Living.

Marsha such incredibly wise words. I always worried what others said. Worse was if they didn't say 'it', I'd worry what they might think. Not a good way to go through life. Those that truly succeed, do exactly what you suggested. They tune those stifling sounds out and march to their own drummer. Truly gorgeous imagines to get across a powerful message. I hope you have a fantastic 4th weekend? Wishing you great food, wonderful fun and loads of marvelous laughter.
ReplyDeleteLots of love, xx oo
Beautiful images and sentiment - great timing as well! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a fabulous 4th of July weekend and a big Happy Birthday to your son - Cheers:)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images with the light spilling through the colored glass and then your music adds so much to the beauty. Its always a happy moment coming here, Marsha!!
ReplyDeleteLove it and love your message too-
Totally agree with you. Creativity needs time - it's not a luxury, it's a necessity. I am at a loss for time lately and I find it stifling!! I need to find a solution - I'm actually thinking of taking off Mondays for the rest of the summer - I hope people will understand if I do!
ReplyDeleteIt's so true, Marsha!
ReplyDeletePieter will be sitting in a meeting with his clients, who expect him to just gush out with fabulously creative ideas within two minutes of hearing their wish list. He gently explains that he needs to sleep on it, dream about it and live it before he can give them an answer.
Which is why we love to be at home and not go out much when we don't have an event- it's our only down time!
Happy 4th! (Yes, we even have a party to decorate on the 4th!)

ReplyDeleteShut the front door! These images are gorgeous! And yes - thanks for the wise words about living a creative life. So true. So right on.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of bottles and jars. Very inspiring to me :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographic shots. I understand what you're saying about creativity, but there's also different types of creativity. I think some people in certain stress filled situations can be very creative, or at least do some very creative thinking. But creative artistry usually does take time and thought.
