Holiday & Vacay

one of the best values in Las Vegas is
THE Hotel
@
Mandalay Bay

there is NO casino, only a sleek elegant entry from their
own grand portico outside, so you avoid the noise and clamor
the other hotels have.

each room has a bedroom and a real living room
with a flat screen TV, bar, powder room...so it's a suite.
bedroom below.
I couldn't find living room pic to share because they won't copy
to my computer, but they are available from the hotel's website.

sky bar

there are many options for fine dining, as well as all
the Mandalay Bay public areas to enjoy...
the pool is like an oasis...
and, of course, the MB casino is only a few steps away
where you will be right in the fray.

I love this place.
Now that MGM owns Bellagio and they allow families,
Bellagio has taken on a look of the Greyhound Bus Station's lobby,
which completely destroys the elegance and beauty of the beautiful facility...
except for the fountains which will be eternally my favorite place to visit.

I am not a gambler and don't even like slot machines, even though it is
kinda fun to find a dice table where someone is having a good run to watch
all the action.

Love the shows like Elton John's or any BIG headliner's concerts,
and do love the restaurants and getting a bit dressed up
(even if no one else does).

THE Hotel is not a children place,
it's for grown-up sophisticated people who want to do a
different Vegas vacation.

  3. Oh, you had a grand time pretty Splendorosa lady, for which I'm so happy for you and thank you for sharing. I got married in Las Vegas, it's on a special place in my heart! I love this hotel, my hubby said we'll go in 4 years when we're married 40 years, so thanks for the hotel tip. Lots of hugs, FABBY

  5. Oh Marsha you have always the most exquisite of taste. I had completely forgot that MB had no casino. I in fact just asked my husband and we both had not noticed. When we were living in the Vegas area we'd just pop in & out to take in all the sights, not being gamblers ourselves. So sad to read about the Bellagio. I'm not sure why anyone would want to bring children to Vegas AT ALL? It really is the most beautiful place to stand and watch their fountains sway to music. My favorite memory is the Andrea Bocelli/Sarah Brightman song, 'Time to Say Goodbye'. Happy times. Thanks for jogging this old gal's memory tonight.
    All my love to you,
    xx Deb

  7. I adore it! I am not a gambler either, however, I would go just to stay and enjoy this decadent place... wow — rather striking! Thank you for sharing it with us :)

Hope you are having a fabulous week.

    xx, Sarah

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
