Tailgating, Texas Style
my entire family was together yesterday,
my son, daughter-in-law, their 2 small children, Sheriff & Archer,
my daughter & her fiance,
one of my best guy friends in the world,
a professor from the University of Houston,
with Jeanne & Henri, who are the best cooks I know...
it was a lovely day and went on into the evening.
i made the cornbread dressing, the turkey gravy (my own version which is
actually quite good (no livers, yuck) ), 2 pumpkin chiffon pies, homemade
cranberry sauce, and a chocolate/grand marnier bundt cake to DIE for.
i fell into bed at 10:30 last night, counting all my blessings...
i wish everyone could be as fortunate as I, and as happy...
love to all ...
Happy Thanksgiving!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous image...Love the sentiments...so important to be thankful for those special days!
ReplyDeleteMarsha, I am happy you had such a lovely day. The joy of Thanksgiving is that we get together with loved ones, eat specially prepared food -- often with a long family history -- and enjoy each others' company. Simple. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
Sounds like it was a great holiday! So happy for you & your family.
