during spring this is the way we dine here in Texas...
our summers are mostly too hot to be outside for a long period, unless we're in
an air conditioned pavilion (& there are lots of those).
the simpleness of this setting is lovely.
old chairs, old table, the turquoise plates, blue glasses, old tin pails for containers
& the old bottles all combine to make an effortless pulled-together table.
probably from things found around the house which we didn't even know we had.
we made bacon-wrapped cream cheese-filled grilled jalapeno's Friday evening,
the neighbors said we didn't need to serve anything else 'cause they're so good.
& you know, they aren't hot after you grill them...just tasty.
an idea of what we wear, just waaaay casual and cool.

Ah so! An airconditioned pavilion! That's how we could eat alfresco here in Houston this summer! Wonder if I could ever talk my husband to such a luxurious idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous table setting! There is nothing better than al fresco dining. Oh, how we love bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalapenos -- a favorite add a crisp white wine and oh, summer has arrived!
ReplyDeleteThank you for yoyr visit.. I love that tablescape Marsha!!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy new week
Hugs Cecilia
Too hot to eat outside? Wow. Even under a big shady tree? It must be hot! The table setting is beautiful - so nice to see colored plates instead of white ones, for a change. And with all the lady guests wearing your fabulous bracelets, wouldn't that make a glam party? Xx

Thank you ! Jennifer
ReplyDeleteI loved this time of the year when I lived in Houston. You are so right about it being too hot to eat outside in the summer. Phew. I can almost taste those grilled jalapenos from here.
ReplyDeletePlease give my chance to someone other lucky person as I still am enjoying my bracelet set from a previous giveaway. Good luck to everyone. Your jewelry is fabulous Marsha!
