What Can I Say .....

I had a version of this outfit decades ago,
mine was white with a surplice wrap long-sleeved top which covered the behind,
and pants which little short shorts in silk before beginning their lacy fall to the floor.
All lace and silk.

So, as they say, if you wore it the 1st time you're too old to wear it the 2nd time!

So it goes...

  2. Good Evening Marsha,

I hope you are having a great week. I have been thinking about your October post since I read it.
I was moved by your post and yet sad. You see I do not have any children and have lived most of my adult life away from my family, and although I am almost always with them on Christmas I decided a long time ago not to miss out on all of the traditions I shared with my family. So each year I decorate the house and the tree and bake the cookies and string the lights and I do it for me. I love it all and of course my husband enjoys it too but he knows that it really is for me, it makes me happy.

Marsha, do not let your "sparkle" and traditions die because the kids are grown, do something for you if it makes you happy. I can tell you, although I have never met you, that you are a kind considerate and loving mom, friend and wife and you deserve to be happy. (not that you are not).

If you do not feel like decorating and you want to give it all away that is ok too, but I speak from experience, a brisk winter night in December with a roaring fire and some white lights on a tree, even if it is little makes the whole day seem brighter.

    Have a wonderful night, Elizabeth

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
