Victorian House in Chicago

as I always think of Chicago as a happening town, with sleekness everywhere,
this is amazing to me.

isn't it wonderful?

Oh my goodness Marsha ...... that is my dream house. I love American Victorian houses..... all of that detail ...... the stained glass, the woodwork and those wonderful double front doors. We live in a late Victorian/early Edwardian house which has the original stained glass, original art nouveau fireplaces in every room but it is no way near as decorative as that one.

Oo-er, sorry Marsha but I find this house quite spooky looking. I'm used to English Victorian houses which are generally not so embellished with decorative features. It reminds me of the house in Psycho... ( or maybe that's just me?)Cx

Marsha, it's beautiful and reminds me of the Maymont House in Richmond, VA.

It is just perfect - straight out of a novel - and the fallen leaves surrounding it in this picture just add to its perfection! x Sharon
