so so pretty
ok, I don't know about historically relevant to the Arizona area,
but it's simply beautiful,
however,
I do not understand the need for those luscious draperies unless this house
backs up to some very un-private area...especially since the draperies are sort of
anchored in place.
any ideas on this?
for me, draperies are not needed around these perfect Palladian windows
Uncle Andrea wouldn't have liked this at all, from a strictly purist position :)'s

I love the color scheme with these rooms. The dark wood floors are beautiful. Is that pine? My husband and I are considering doing pine floors but staining dark. I absolutely love the pearl necklace!!
ReplyDeleteMarketing "lingo" is hilarious, isn't it? While maybe not "historical", these rooms are beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is also gorgeous!
Have a lovely day, Marsha! xoxo
I agree about the draperies!! They just distract my eye.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Beautiful jewelry. I love your blog. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is lovely, but what I really wanted to comment on is how these neutrals and the sense of airiness instantly creates a feeling of calm.
ReplyDeleteI adore color (and have dashes of red throughout my home), but these beautiful interiors make me long for a little oasis of light and neutrals and openneness...
I am a monochromatic girl having given up the "vintage/antique" clutter once so popular for this soothing and calm type of space.
DeleteI love the blush tone draperies but I think the yellow ones in the dining room kind of detract from the beautiful windows.

Oh my goodness, the dining room is stunning, and so is this necklace!

ReplyDeleteMarsha, it is just wonderfully soothing and beautiful ... their style, the tiles and each room! And your necklace is HOT.
ReplyDeleteBTW please do a pantry closet review ((: start the chain going... i am so very excited to see your organized stuff!

I hear you about covering up the gorgeous windows....although on the flip side, there is a fabulous dramatic theatrical effect of having drawn silk curtains as a backdrop to a dinner party at night with flickering candlelight dancing amongst the lustre of the silk. Especially when they become a wall of curtains, as it looks like this would be.
ReplyDeleteThe rooms are almost as beautiful as your jewellery, but not quite!
Marsha, beautiful rooms although I do agree with you, not a fan of the drapes. I am sure that there are there for texture and color.
ReplyDeleteLove your necklace!
Have a great week!
