  1. Camelot. How filled with it we were.

Even if it was partial illusion, there was also much good. And of course, our time of innocence.

    1. I think they were the epitome of elegance and grace. And, still today they are revered.

  2. I wasn't alive at this point in history, but am, like many Americans, transfixed by the elegance, the sense of innocence and possibility that was lost. I wonder what the world would be like today had JFK, RFK and MLK lived.

    1. Yes, I think we all wonder if we would have had a Viet Nam if he had lived. Just tragic, all of it.

  3. They were so "Esplendorosos!" Times of Camelot gone too son and so fast! I cry every time I see this, I was a young girl of 11 when the president got killed and I cried for an entire week, until daddy said he had enough, lol!
The beautiful, clasy and elegant First Lady also died quite Young, as she is my mom's age and mother is alive and doing well at 83. Those were the days my friend.
    Big hugs,

  4. We are connected because I wrote on my blog about them. This day always brings me such sadness even though I did not live through the actual event.

  5. And our island cousins, across the sea, are promoting a television program called The Irish Mafia in the White House.

  7. Beautiful, thoughtful & touching Marsha. I will never forget where I was & what I was doing that day so long ago. Any more words would not even be appropriate. Thank you.

  8. I have been so sad for the last couple of days. I can remember all so well that terrible day. I was a young mother and had my little son with me almost the same age as John John. So I could really relate to the Kennedy's. I often wonder what could have been if he had lived. Thank you so much for sharing.

  9. This tragic event happened on my 5th birthday. I remember watching the funeral. Jackie really was the model of style and grace.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
