Roses in My Kitchen

this is why I don't photograph many things myself,
somehow I just never get the image right.

but in spite of that I want you to see my
$10 dozen
roses.

now a week old.

of course, I've babied them just like I do all my flowers.

originally all the stems were cut on the diagonal,
and they were placed in ICED water.

they are misted daily, sometimes 2X a day.

& every day they a new ICED water.

& know what?
every time I walk into the kitchen & see them I smile.

$10 bought a whole lot of happiness this week.

  4. Do you know Marsha ….. my daughter-in-laws mum bought me the very same roses and, I really neglected them and didn't do any of the things you did and they lasted over two weeks and would probably have lasted longer if I'd topped up the water !!!! ….. and, I dried them so, they will look beautiful for a while longer !! Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
