I understand it is raining in Paris today and maybe tomorrow,
so when I found this beautiful image of
Les Petite Palais
before the storm I knew it was perfect for the blog post today.
a photographer never knows when the perfect image will appear before him.
think how tragic it would be NOT to have gotten this shot!
I wish I could enlarge it more.
have a lovely Sunday!
Magical in an intriguing capture before the storm. Love it.
ReplyDeleteMarsha, it was obviously taken in early Autumn, fallen leaves but also still some hanging on the branches and changing color. The sun still shining but perhaps a storm brewing by looks of the sky. One could wait all afternoon to capture such a beautiful shot - love how people are still relaxing on the park benches.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there soon - am hoping for lovely Autumn days too.
Hugs - Mary
Lovely autumn, of course it will be.

Just before I moved from Ottawa, Canada, to Victoria, Canada, I was fortunate enough to take a similar picture of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa. One half of the sky was black and foreboding, just before a thunder and lightning storm in late October, the other half bright blue. It was probably the most amazing picture I'd ever taken.
ReplyDeleteWe the exact right moment is captured we have a treasure forever!
DeleteThank you, Squeak, for visiting...
I love a photo that is intriguing, a little dark.
ReplyDeleteStill thinking of 9/11. Renee's Dad died of a heart attack watching it.
Not feeling to good bad Ear a month now. How is it going in Houston?
Been thinking of old friends. yvonne
I know, I know. I felt I had to take time for review of this tragic event.
DeleteThe history channel has some excellent films, not shown before.
So sorry this is the way Renee's father passed, Yvonne.
