do you feel the holidays coming on?
are you wrapping gifts yet?
would you please recomment a great gift for an 8-year old boy"
I'm clueless, and it's my eldest grzandson.
the gifts are so easy for the girls, aren't they?
but the BOYS I have huge problems with.
weve had our grand opening at my new workplace,
NINA MC LEMORE BOUTIQUE
in Houston.
it was truly lovely, RDG, Mimi Del Grande, provided all the little bites and they were
absolutely lovely. the servers and bartenders all in black and all of us (the employees)
dressed in NINA.
wishing you all the happiness of our holiday season, my friends !!!
What a lovely event, Marsha! I'm definitely feeling the holiday spirit around here. The tree is up and the decorating commences this weekend!

PS-boys ARE more challenging to buy for! ;)
Marsha,
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is beautiful. For both my Grands Gabby 19 and Dane 13 we purchased new computers amongst other gifts. Dane loves all
things Harry Potter and we purchased him a Harry Potter wand in a beautiful box velvet lined with organza ribbon to present the wand. It is made by Noble and if your Grand son is anything like mine with Harry Potter I recommend this gorgeous gift. Oh and ear buds are a well appreciated gift.
Merry and bright wishes to you,
Vera
Sounds like a wonderful time! I am all finished decorating!!! Except for the outside. Come on over if you'd like to see my tree, I posted it yesterday. Merry Christmas!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe gifts to be mailed are wrapped and mail, due to arrive by tomorrow. I cannot believe I've got it done this early! I'll wrap family gifts this week then make shortbread for all the folks who've helped me this year...auto repair, feed stores, etc.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Marsha!

Snap Circuits Xtreme is one of the best gifts I can think of for boys! Leah
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Marsha! Well, on the gift thing, I just finished buying a requested item for my eight year old nephew...anything to do with Legos and Star Wars. Even though the movie isn't out yet, they've seen all the promos. Though you'll be inflicting hundreds of additional lego pieces on their parents, it really is a creative toy in so many different themes and you can also include a specific container for all of their pieces. Angela Muller
ReplyDeleteLegos, Legos!!!! They all love it, also give a plastic container because once they open the kit , yes you have many pieces allover the place , it is a good place to store it all after playing. I should know I have 15 (yes you read that right) grandchildren from 24 to 4 years old...

Marsha, get a set of Belly Bump Balls. I just ordered another set for godsons. I guarantee the boys will go nuts. If you buy a pair your grandson can use it with a friend. I bought mine from their site, but I see Grommet has them on sale
ReplyDeleteI have TWO of those BOYS am at a total loss this year!!
ReplyDeleteThe shop will definitely put you in the mood!!
Off I go to search!!!xo
I also completely recommend LEGOS!! Can't say enough about them. They are perfect for hand/eye coordination, imagination, problem solving, following directions, invention, innovation, "flow" (that buzzword of educators). And buy more for every occasion. He will put together the model in the picture and then he will take it apart and use the parts to create his own whatever.
ReplyDeleteOK, with the suggestions from everyone I found a splendid site for gifts for kids.
ReplyDeletehearthsong.com
look at it, it's really amazing !!!
I have the best gift ever for a 8 year old boy. Look up "Air Swimmer" on the internet. He will love it!!! Then you can get Amazon to deliver.
