the entire scene,
the tabletop arrangement,
the beautiful, gorgeous, over-the-top chandelier,
or the sofa on one side of the table, piled high with big oomphy silk pillows,
or the guests I might be having to share an evening's friendships.
which do you love the most?
Love the contrast of the rusticity of the table and seating with the glam of the chandelier!!
ReplyDeleteI know this is exactly your style !!!
DeleteLove the table, love the cushions, love the colouring, love the chandelier ..... what's not to love Marsha !!!!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteI know, I know. Imagine how much fun we could have with a couple of friends just hanging out.
DeleteThe company of good friends, laughter and shared memories will make any space special. Have a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteThe company of good friends is the absolute BEST!
DeleteHard choice! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to re-style my dining room right this minute !
DeleteDitto Cindy, the mix of the chandelier and the table had me in an instant. so what do I love the most? The whole thing! Xoxo l

So happy to have you visit me & leave such a lovely comment. This is Cindy's "style" absolutely.
DeleteI love the whole scene, too. I have a very rustic dining table with a large antique crystal chandelier hanging overhead, and a gorgeous ornate silver plate candelabra, that has seen better, sitting on one end of the table. Every time I look at it, I fall in love with the scene. Also, I love the upholstered high back chairs at either end of the table. So much to see in one photo. Angela Muller
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, I love this comment. You REALLY looked at the entire image, didn't you? Big hug !!
DeleteUltimate in cozy yet cool dining! love it!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how lovely you could make something. Beginning with nothing, ending up with gorgeous !!
DeleteThe sofa is TOO low you can see under the table so sitting there WOULD NOT BE FUN!YOur chin would be on the table but the arm chairs would be GREAT to have a chit chat in........I of course, Love the chandelier which is really TOO LOW to dine at BUT LOOKS SMASHING!The BIG SILVER BOWL is MY FAVORITE..........I can NEVER have enough SILVER!THE WHOLE LOOK IS STUNNING.........just not practical.
ReplyDeleteThe Italian part of me has absolutely NEVER been practical. Beauty over practical is the rule in my house. But, I know what you mean. You could make this wonderful in your own CONTESSA WAY.
DeleteWow, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you visited, Bonnie !!!
DeleteThank you so much.
I love all of it especially the chandelier ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I knew the chandelier would be your favorite !!!
DeleteAlthough rustic is not my style, I do appreciate the combination. The silver plate grouping is actually where my eye went first, but that might be because of that gorgeous chandelier hanging above it. It is a lovely composition.
ReplyDeleteI'm very far from rustic too, Elizabeth. However, the entire setting makes me happy just to look at it.
DeleteThis is just breath taking!!! GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteHey, Celia, thank you for visiting me. xx's
DeleteWhat is it about a gorgeous chandelier? It is ALWAYS, ALWAYS a focal point. And so romantic!

I'm just about to clean mine in the entry hall. It's a challenge, but so much prettier when it sparkles brightly. sending love, D.
