The Morning After......

we are entering into a new era,
one in which the mass media does not portend to tell us what matters to
we the people,

& I do think that the media has played a really big part in dividing us so much.

one of my friends is a PhD, the Chairman of the Media Communications Department of a large university,
and he says that all "news" is propaganda.
slanted to whatever view they wish you to see.

I actually didn't realize this.
I thought news was what had actually happened, not just someone's opinion of what happened.
& when we allowed them to do this, and we accepted this as normal,
we began to lose our own identity.

America is a great and glorious country,
we have been through many difficult times,
and no matter what we have come out OK if we all work together
to get something done.

we will do that again now.

thankfully, we won't be diverted every waking moment by the barrage of the election cycle,
which is horrendous, for sure.

let's just get back to normal,
it'll all be OK.

  3. I concur with Gail, we all count and we all need to work together to come together and make this country the great place that it is. We cannot continue to be divided and let other people tell us how to think or what we need.

    1. Yes, Obama has ruled via the Executive Order, never reaching out to be inclusive to the Congress, and has been viewed as a timid leaded. We, now, have a house united, at least in Washington DC.

    1. Absolutely. And, we the people, need to be part of it by letting our congressmen know what we want.

  8. my uncle was the director of a french newspaper ,who was imprisoned during WW2, I can say that no newspaper man would ever stand up now to oppression... My biggest concern was the future of my children and grandchildren with the balance of the supreme court !!!

No recrimination just try to get along and not being told that we are deplorable!!!

I just want to fly an American flag outside my Aussie home!
(P.S. & many American soldiers gave their young lives to save Australia!)
    Kind Regards,

  13. I for one am pleased and satisfied with the outcome and the end of the media blast - though goodness knows what they'll find to drive us crazy now! We must be unified and driven to bring America back to what she was - a strong country, the world leader in all things good, the one I loved so much I became a legal citizen so I could earn the right to vote - and that I did despite the fact it was hard this time around!

I will support our new government. I'm ready for the change, for America to be great again, and her leaders to do us proud this time around.

  14. There hasn't been truth in reporting in decades...probably since Walter Cronkite, even then...who knows? I'm glad the election is over; I'm glad Trump/Pence are our new President and VP and I'm hopeful to see the last of the Clinton's.

  15. Love that picture and I definitely have noticed that the media tries to sway peoples views - it probably has evolved into a form of propaganda.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
