I just received word that one of my deceased husband's
college & lifetime friends has passed away.
the man was beloved by everyone, and
one of the most sterling people I've ever known.
He had a wonderful life, filled with love and success,
friends everywhere and a wife devoted to his care in recent years.

this is hard.

when we wake up and realize our own mortality it is time to be nice to everyone we know, all of our friends and family, and to forgive them for any infraction, no matter how horrid, as
the Lord would want us to do.

I'm very very sad today.

    Congrads on your shop, sorry to hear you too have lost a dear friend. I have lost so many and think of them often an cry. Seems every day I cry over the news. This Govt drug thing is so depressing.

    I am so NOT ready for Christmas! It seems like I am still working on July 4th. I have made gift baskets for many years, even had a business in the 1980's and I find that many people just love receiving them as a gift.

    So sorry for the loss of your friend. I think once we meet a certain age this becomes more and more a fact of life. I attended a class reunion last week, 169 members of that class have passed. I was shocked. I lost my best friend a few months ago and I still think "...Oh Di will like that" when shopping and dining with our group of friends. It doesn't get easier just more likely. Take care, do something to distract.
