I was fortunate enough to meet this delightful and gorgeous man in NYC at the Plaza Athenee Hotel
where we were both staying.
he was wearing jeans and a suede bomber jacket and,
on him, it looked wonderful.
just so you know,
I happened to be in the bar awaiting friends, when he
walked in, also awaiting guests.
and, since I'm never at a loss for words,
we have a few minutes of inane conversation.
eventually his friends arrived, one of them his brother, and the familial resemblance was amazing.
he has always impressed me with his attire.
in other words HE ALWAYS PRESENTS HIMSELF
PERFECTLY ATTIRED.
like these photos:
& Lordy Lord, look at this below,
beginning with the denim shirt, the textures
& the beautifully blending of colors.
dressing like this is an art,
(unless you have your own personal stylist,
or the dresser in the men's department is brilliant)
Great post about a great experience! xx J.
ReplyDeleteOne of my bestest memories of New York City.
Deletexx's
I am swooning!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I did too.
DeleteI am impossibly envious!!!
ReplyDeleteYou never know who you'll see or meet in New York.
DeleteI also met Sean Connery on the sidewalk outside the side door of The Plaza. He went with us for drinks at the Sherry Netherland Hotel across the street for about 10 minutes. All us Texas girls and HIM.
You speak my language, Marsha! Why don't they have delicious men like this in films anymore? We only seem to get 'boys.' It's refreshing that they have both been so charming.
DeleteI love the textures, as well as the color combinations, in your images of gentlemen's clothes. That nubbly tie! So sophisticated, so artfully put together, and yet, unstuffy & doesn't feel overwrought. Beautiful.
