This is What I Would Wear

someone has invited you to dinner, a formal seated dinner party,
given at their beautiful home.
you know the style of the hostess,
you know the occasion.

for me, this ensemble would be perfection given that it's October,
the Fall & Holiday season is upon us, but you don't want to
be "ball-gowned" or too casual.
notice the double-cuffs, just loving this look...
really one could do without the Tiffany Tri-Color Gold Collar
& just wear the cuffs & earrings.

love love love the whimsy of the chevron-ed fox jacket,
this is what makes it current, happening, beautiful and NEW !
this entire outfit was chosen to go with this little jacket...
now, if only I can take it to Vail...

Dinner Party Outfit

  1. Marsha, a very striking combination, wow, stunning. Funny how we can choose an outfit round one piece, I have done it many times I also furnished a room once based on a single painting. Have a fantastic weekend. X

  2. Wonderful! Dressed to sparkle!
    Have a nice weekend, Marsha!

  3. Beautiful, but I sadly could not wear the shoes.
    Have a beautiful weekend Marsha!

  4. Love it all but I would truly burn up in a jacket! I cannot wear one to save my life! It has bothered my mother since I was a little girl but I cannot be confined like that! I love them on everyone else and always wish I could wear them! The dress is stunning….not sure I could wear the shoes! Sure looks like fun, though! Have a fabulous weekend!

  5. Everything is soo Glamour, chic, You would be the star of the party. Is it a Fundraiser?
or political party. What ever it's a smashing outfit. Love the leaf necklace.

  6. Ma chère Marsha, wooh! génial! Une très belle tenue qui me ravirait beaucoup! je compte sur vous pour ma future tenue ... aucun souci, je suis persuadée qu'elle sera formidable!...
    Gros bisous

  7. Parfait except for the shoes - I'm scared of heights!

  8. You would most certainly be the belle of the ball!!!! WOW!! I would only have to be sure to keep my isotoner slippers in my bag..lol.

  9. So elegant. Have a wonderful time!

  10. Wow, I'm catching in on those shoes. I probably couldn't last the entire evening in them either, but they are soooo pretty. It's fun dreaming, isn't it?

  11. I am totaly in LOVe with this dress and coat....................!!!

And actually, you know,Marsha, you have absolutely gorgeous taste.......I like these combinations what you chose so much;-)*
    And this is indeed-YOU!!!

Wish you wonderful weekend,my dear friend,

  12. Oh this is so fantastic....I want to go to a PARTY NOW! Marsha, your music is stunning. Your style is chic and wonderful, and I thank you for visiting today. It means a lot to me! AND I STILL have those aqua drop earrings from your shop in my future!!!

    Have a lovely evening, Anita

  13. Oh I just saw that you commented again on my blog...YES, THE NUTCRACKER!!! I had started a "series" of ballet wands with this theme. I have a "Sugar Plum Fairy" ballet tree topper that was born out of that idea...thank you my dear for viewing my work! You are so kind. I am entering into a show here in Minneapolis at a book art center where paper work is appreciated!

    MANY THANKS...Anita

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, each of them mean so much to me. After all, the interaction is the reason we blog. xx's
