Dare You

be bold about fashion

model off-work, street style, sheer long skirt
(recommend short slip underpinning)
bronze jacket, draping petal pullover.
I would so wear this, shopping in New Orleans antique stores, art gallery opening,
dinner with friends in some quirky, wonderful restaurant.

  • Multi-Strand Necklace
  • agate, carnelian, smoky topaz
Dries Von Noten
don't you love the bold, daring combination of patterns?
Dries, again, as shown on runway

same outfit as shown in Marie Claire
pretty wonderful isn't it?
Do you have the courage to do this?

I mean, hey, it's neither fatal nor permanent
to wear it.   Live a little...just do it!!

big, flat red velvet bow headband, so holiday !

I am recovering from some hideous flu-like illness
which has kept me from visiting my friends for the past 10 days.
I'm definitely on the mend and will see you over the weekend.

Wow - can't keep up with you!!! Love the Dries Van Noten - never would have thought to put that together but, amazingly, works. Also adore the necklace- would go with almost everything I own! And thanks for posting the link - you're the best!

Ick, glad you're feeling better! This is so gorgeous, there's a lot on the runway I wouldn't wear, but these I SO would, with your gorgeous jewelry! XX!

Marsha sending you get well wishes. Very sorry to read you've been hit with a flu. Hoping your feeling better today? I would love to dare wearing such a mixture of patterns. Is there an age where we shouldn't I hope not? I so adore the leopard with the floral skirt. I'd like to think I'd go for it. And you know me, I love the leopard!

Take much care Marsha, big hug xo xo

Dear Marsha, I hope you're feeling a lot better.

I love the model's outfit (can't remember her name at the moment but it will come to me). Gorgeous...

The last photo with the red bow is a lovely girl called Bip Ling who I know. Her mother is an excellent fashion illustrator called Tania Ling. Sending love and hope you're back to normal soon xx

I hope you feel better soon -- be sure to rest! These outfits are just beautiful -- I do enjoy the mix of materials and patterns -- such a fun way to play with fashion and show off different pieces...
