Burberry Prorsum Fall 2011 Live Stream Today From London

Sitting in my beautiful kitchen in Houston, Texas
with my two little doggies beside me, I've just viewed
Mr. Bailey's Fall Collection...1st takes:
Brights

large check patterns (plaid) which I don't like at all,
shoulder & sleeve emphasis, which I do like,
leather frog closures on many things, love it,
fur trim on everything,
black & white cow hide caps, love them,
white fur caps,
leggings, all dark, with black shoes,
reprising the Andre Courreges look from the '60's.
way too much outerwear for me here in Texas, but
hey, that's Burberry's deal, isn't it?

These looks from the finale,
all black & white
all total showstoppers &
just in case you wondered,
yes, I would wear each one of them !!

Most important look from this collection:
Shift-style dress,
dropped waist with shirred skirt,
same line reprised for a coat...
(see above)
all totally feminine and beautiful.
Remember Twiggy?
(just noted 2/22/11: his show was
about Jean Shrimpton...did I know
this?  No.)

BTW, the arriving celebrities, fashionistas,
socialites was so much more interesting
than the show.  In London long straight blonde hair
must be the normal, Kate Bosworth here, but must say ALL the arriving
girls looked smashing.
No one wore jeans.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
