Movies, TV Shows, Books

a new feature,
only because there are some things worth discussing:

Movie
The Next Three Days,
thriller with
Russell Crowe, Liam Neeson, Brian Denehy,
Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde
Trudie Styler

Lara Brennan (Elizabeth Banks) is arrested for murdering her boss
with whom she had an argument.
It seems Lara was seen leaving the scene of the crime
and her fingerprints were on the murder weapon.
She is convicted.
No one knows if she is truly guilty.
Except her husband.
John, her husband, would spend the next few years trying to get her released,
but there's no evidence that negates the evidence against her.

John Brennan, Russell Crowe, believes his wife is innocent & will
not stop until he finds a way to get a new trial, appeal denied, and
the only hope is the Supreme Court of the state.

Brian Denehy & Liam Neeson are brilliant in cameo roles.
Olivia Wilde plays a mom John meets on a playground with his son.

This is a really good movie.  I was riveted throughout.
And, no one can imagine the ending.

Books

The Perfect Mistress

This one had me at the 1st page, which is
shown below in the video concept of the book.

Set in Victorian London, a great-granddaughter
discovers a previously unknown memoir
written by her great grandmother, whom she
never knew.  Seems the great grand was
The Perfect Mistress...

some of the la-de-da of the story of the widowed granddaughter's
attempts to sell the manuscript because she needs money,
is a bit draggy, but all-in-all it is a very fun and easy read.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
