The Love of White

I love having big stacks of white fluffy towels



white tables



white clothes



& beautiful cakes

a few years ago I went into a lovely bakery near my home, pointed at
a wedding cake and said I wanted it in red...
it was the hit of the Christmas party that year.
I didn't plan on cutting the cake during the party, we
had many other things,  including little boxes of red cupcakes being passed
around as favors.
The man who had been working in the house for months doing some
remodeling for us walked up to me about 1/2 way through the party 
which a huge plate containing the back side of the cake...he said it 
wouldn't show.  I died.  Then I laughed out loud at his very normal
decision to simply have a piece of cake.

    Oh my - I just love this. I know I can feel them too, and I absolutely love them! The trees, the tablescapes, clothes and cakes.. Perfection!

    So funny about the piece of cake being "stolen" from behind...I too, love just about anything white, it just draws you in and is so ethereal...have tons of white clothing, drive a white car, and think there are few things that don't look beautiful in white.

    Lovely images, Marsha. I love decorating and setting a table with white. All my towels are white...it makes the bathrooms look spa-like and clean. And what is a better clothing staple than the classic white shirt?

    I love the fluffy white towels at a fine hotel, but at home they make me feel like I'm in a hotel. My wife mostly prefers light green shades for towels. Our whole house is in shades of green.

    I LOVE white too. I only ever buy white towels and linens.
    And those cakes are to die for! I would have loved to have seen your face when the builder told you what he had done (cheeky man) ;-)
