A Few of My Favorite Things....

all these goodies are made at home, so easy & so pretty

confetti hot chocolate

Christmas tree brownies with peppermint sticks, M&M's

how happy would the kiddos be to have this on their plates?
darling little pancake snowmen with bacon ties...LOVE

more Christmas brownies...bake right in the cookie cutters !
Great idea, right ?

what great little gifts,
votives wrapped with cinnamon sticks & red ribbon.
I saw these small sticks yesterday at the grocery store, right
by the spices...who knew?

& OMG, isn't this precious?
real apples carved out & filled with apple cidar

love the tray, even the fluffy stuff...& super easy, super festive

this is what Houston looks like in so many places.
we have beautiful trees & shopping centers, office areas, homes, everywhere,
are lavishly lit up for the holidays.
Post Oak Boulevard is our Rodeo Drive, and it is one of the most beautiful
streets in the world.  I'll post a photo soon...one my son took.

Christmas, to me, is about sharing.
Not just with our families & friends,
but with a stranger in need who needs their spirit lifted.

Be as generous as possible with the causes that touch your hearts
& remember our military families who sacrifice so much (& who have
their homes foreclosed on too).
Fuss at our government for allowing all this misery to continue.

Love one another.

Merry Christmas to you, my friends.
Tina @ The Enchanted Home said it so well a few posts ago...
our blogging time is our "time out."  It is here we find refuge &
real friendships, where we started on a journey and never knew it would be so rewarding & so beneficial to our souls.

Thank you, Lord, for leading us this way.

  1. Marsha so many terrific treats and ideas for us all to share, thank you. Post Oak Blvd. is gorgeous and the lights @ Christmas were so lovely. I'm missing many things about Houston, the biggest is enjoying the Christmas season & still being warm!!!

Thanks for the glimpse of Post Oak again & thank your son too!

  4. So true, Houston is beautiful in winter. Kirby Blvd. is also lit up. Keep those pictures of delights coming. We all need the lift. The Nutcracker music takes me back to my ballet days as a little girl. Thanks.

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
