if I were invited to a masked ball I wonder what I would wear?
the entire evening created to celebrate friendship and the ending of one year and beginning
of the next year
of the next year
you imagine you will see many splendid outfits, people and that the tables will be
laden with silver...
this is an evening where the finest jewelry may be worn and be appropriate
there will be photographers catching the glamourous ones as they pass in & out the doors
miles of tulle, goddess gowns will be seen,
beautiful pearls in abundance are so elegant
twinkling lights enchant everyone, everything is adorned with them
will I see Mary Kate or Ashley?
everything burnished and shining
the well-knowns will be out and we hope to catch a glimpse
what handbag will I carry?
what shoes will I wear?
how will I do my hair?
everyone laughing
& dancing dancing dancing
oh, the endless glamour of the never-to-be-forgotten evening
making us think of endless glamour of times past
the truly elegant and gracious
black duchesse satin bow with diamond earrings
yards of glistening gold satin trailing behind another beautiful woman in attendance
the happiest and most beautiful couple of them all
no matter where we go on New Year's Eve, hold on tight to those you love,
embrace the adventure of life, and pray for a 2013 where wisdom will prevail,
starting out with our own.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, my precious friends !!
stay well, stay happy
