this is seriously lovely don't you think?
the forever elegant Vicki Archer has just sent me the
lovliest comment (seen below) telling me the above room
is "hers." she is one of my dearest blogging friends & I've
seen photos of her guest house, but didn't connect the dots
seriously lovely, as ONLY she could do it!

many years ago I knew an older woman whose penthouse was entirely done up in
various shades of pink, including lampshades...
she explained to me that it makes
"one look so much prettier because of the softness
of the light bouncing off the pink."
I believe she was right.
Hi Marsha,
ReplyDeleteI had this sofa when I lived in Virginia - I truly loved it and I miss it so much. I now live in Los Angeles )-;

ReplyDeleteI adore pink! and everyone looks better with it!
ReplyDeleteYears ago; two houses ago in Pasadena, my husband was showing a man around our house.
He said; "Wow; there sure is a lot of pink in this house!" My husband said,"When you have a wife and three daughters; you really need to love pink!" Isn't that divine?
There is even more pink in our house now! (as you have seen!!)
Love this post!

ReplyDeleteLove the color pink in rooms!!
ReplyDeleteMarsha,
ReplyDeletepink = romance to me. I happen to think wearing pale pink and black makes a woman look pretty.

There is nothing as exquisite as pink silk!! Gorgeous. I used a lot of pink in my last home, but times and tastes change so all I have left is a soft blush Persian carpet. I think I need to add some raw silk, pink pillows to my white chairs!!!
ReplyDeleteMarsha, I just saw this post as I was catching up and thought... I know that pink sofa... Ha Ha... that's my guest room in France... :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it... xxv
