well, that is, if I could possibly afford it
from Alber Elbaz for Lanvin
why, you may ask?
because it is casual luxury,
luxury in the new way,
the tassel's size bespeaks luxe,
the slouchiness of the coat with the structure of the wrap skirt (which appears unstructured)
& the boots.
& BLACK
& then there is this:
serious luxury
with a bohemian twist.
Mr. Albaz said his Morrocan background inspired him in this collection
what do you guys think?
thinking about Fall 2015 is a bit difficult when all of us are begging for Spring !
Yes, see another gorgeous coat - if only I had somewhere to go in this beautiful black outfit. Love the tassels and the hat, but the boots, oh the beautiful boots - now those I would wear everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThe dress I'm not loving - just too much going on, especially the thighs/knees showing through?

Marsha! Love the style. I was beside myself when I read the description of your manicure on a comment you made.....French with one nail black! Inspired here.
ReplyDeleteLove from AUS xx
Beautiful coat! I would definitely wear it if I was tall, skinny, young, with beaucoup bucks. Have a great weekend, Marsha.
ReplyDeleteBonsoir chère amie,
ReplyDeleteTellement chic !... J'adore le chapeau aussi !
Gros bisous ☼
I like the big slouchy hat, although I think having lots of tassels flapping off my clothes would drive me nutsy. However, given that it appears to be velvet, some exceptions could be in order.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is interesting, but there's too much stuff going on, plus the model looks like a particularly petulant 12-year-old. Lovely colors, though.
I'm with you, looking forward to Spring rather than to colder weather yet again.
I always say "anything for fashion."
DeleteWe sacrifice comfort for beauty almost every day.
Oh, I know. And that these are prototypes, not meant to be worn by real people.
DeleteBut I think fashion should also be comfortable, otherwise how could it be beautiful?
