Flint, Michigan...!

I am totally disgusted.

how on Earth could this happen in our country?
where OUR water is handled by governmental agencies

& now that it has happened WHY are those people waiting

when we can supply the entire world with needed supplies,
our entire country mobilizes & us citizens rally round the cause.

WHY are they waiting for clean water?

seemingly, this problem could be solved easily, we have the entire
US Army Corp of Engineers
who do this kind of thing.

build a big sistern.
run above ground PVC pipes anywhere they need to go,
give water away by the drum full.

deliver it to their door & tell them how sorry we all are for this failure of governmental agencies.

I don't know the answers but I know there are answers.

all of us should be outraged about it taking SO LONG to fix this for the people,
our people!

or maybe we should just call Matt Damon,
champion of clean water worldwide.

what do you think ????

& read previous post

  1. It's outrageous and I can't beat his is happening from start to finish in the USA.

  2. As nearly as I can tell from what I've read, Snyder is a truly dreadful human being, but the mistreatment of poor people is not a bug of his political orientation, it's a feature.

  3. I totally agree with you. It breaks my heart when we don't help and protect our own people and then send billions of dollars out of the country. Our infrastructure cannot continue on this downward spiral and we the people are helpless to help our fellow Americans. Thanks for your comment.

  4. MARSHA! There is so much truth and beauty here...let me start with a big thank you for coming to visit my post and leaving a message. Yes, after much struggling with my school schedule and figuring out what I'm doing with my creative life, I decided to get back to blogging but it will be very sparse. Work is too demanding. Thank you for your kind words about my photography. I am working on opening up my Etsy shop again to sell cards with my better photos. So much on the back burner right now!

I agree with your thoughts here. The priorities are in the wrong places and for being the richest country on the planet, (or so I thought), our people are not being taken care of. We need to keep the money and productivity HERE for a change.

AND...your new look is fantastic! I LOVE YOUR HEADER!

Many hugs and thanks for visiting. Let's hope and pray someone gets into office who will straighten out these problems.

    to me
    Good Morning, Marsha,

I am usually unable to leave a comment on your newsletter because I do not have gmail. But I so agree with what you wrote today about Detroit. You just said it exactly like it is! It is shameful. We can spend so much money on ridiculous things, but when it comes to The water system in Detroit, come on people!!! I think it will cost so much as the government says becuase there is SO much waste in Washington. And corruption.

Fo example, I have a good friend who owns a toxic waste clean up company. Becuase her business is so specialized and there are not many companies like this, she gets most government contracts. When there is a hurricane, or natural disaster, let's use Hurricane Katrina as an example, she makes a fortune. Not just doing her job cleaning it up, but she has tons of equipment and trucks, parked, waiting every day for action in case needed at the site that are never even turned on. For this, her company makes millions and may never be used for that kind of clean up, or not all of the trucks etc may be used. I am happy she makes money, bu what I mean is she is contracted for work whether she has to do it or not.

I was talking ot one of our friends Sat night at dinner, who is a bankruptcy lawyer. It seems to me that when you file Chapter 11, it is so WRONG to still belong to the Country Club and drive a Mercedes, have a second aor third home. He does not see it this way. I am just baffled at how things got like this sometimes.

    P.S. Have fun with Tish!!

Please know how much I value your comments. I read every single one and do hope you will take the time to leave your thoughts. I think InstaGram with the Emojis have taken a lot away from blogging, but I love IG too.
