the PERFECT tiny spot outdoors.
a glass of wine with a good friend.
a good book.
& imagine what's beyond the rail?
it could be anything, couldn't it?
& this is what I would wear,
a long caftan in white, always my go-to style at home anyway,
but this particular one would be beautiful in this tiny space.
what do you think?
TELL ME !!!!
Yes, yes it would...perfect. franki
ReplyDeleteIn this day with large homes and sprawling gardens I spend much time making the small spaces cozy and welcoming. My favorite place is my little back porch. A link between the raised garden beds and a flat little piece of ground where I play with the dog, it has a purpose of utility but it is essentially mine. No one else around here wants to sit on a sun baked patio or the awning lined porch. When there I shell peas, knit, read. A refuge in a large world. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you "get it." Yes, being surrounded all the time is not good for our soul. I think "alone" time is priceless. Thank you for visiting me. xx's
DeleteI LOVE this little spot and the caftan you chose. For myself I might choose a crinkly, white, flowy gauze without cutouts. I wouldn't want to scare my neighbors! LOL
ReplyDeleteOK, I love you caftan idea too. You must be a delightful woman. Thank you for visiting me today.

Positively stunning...
ReplyDeleteHi Alice, thank you for visiting me today. I would love to know you better !!!

ReplyDeleteI've just purchased a pair of new full leg, high-waisted trousers in ochre color linen blend to wear for lounging on the front porch with an aperitif, or in the gazebo, when the weather improves. They are a bit tight so might encourage me to cut down on the carbs again, and walk more, haha! Must say, a loose caftan sounds a lot more comfortable - perhaps I should look for one of those.
ReplyDeleteHugs dear Marsha x
Love the space and the garment. I used to have images of myself in such a kaftan (a la Rosalind Russell in some Mediterranean setting) but the reality set in once moving here: flannel shirts spotted with paint and ripped jeans (not the stylish rips, either) seem to be more of my wardrobe these days! Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteI love kaftans! They are so comfy and stylish.
ReplyDeleteWHITE OR A BEAUTIFUL PINK!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to start making some CAFTANS!
