I would love her to be a bit more edgy & I think this hits the spot
well, this about covers it...
except for my personal commentary about the films.
I think Jerad Leto should win as Best Supporting Actor from Dallas Buyer's Club,
the film is so very dark and tragic and his role was key.
not Matthew McConaughey, he actually played himself 40 lbs. lighter.
Leo DiCaprio because he should have won for The Departed,
it's his time.
Cate Blanchett, but Meryl should win.
just seeing her in her 1st scene in this movie makes one understand just how brilliant she is.
I truly disliked Gravity.
& I think 12 Years A Slave will win Best Picture
because of Brad Pitt, who definitely deserves it.
you see, I'm not at all biased am I?
I do totally love the Carolina Herrera dress for Meryl Streep. Great selections! Still haven't seen 12 Days... and agree about Matthew. Sunday night will tell. Can't wait to read your review as I will be traveling and will miss it all.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much! I love it too.
DeleteThat Marchesa gown is TDF! I can only hope Sandra Bullock will be so lucky....
ReplyDeleteI just want her to wear something other than satin.

ReplyDeleteYour red carpet looks are illusive, my friend.
The Dior!
The Carolina!
The stylists to the stars should be green with envy with you eye for Oscar night elegance.
I was as disappointed in Gravity as I was in All Is Lost. I kept looking for "Wilson' to float by.

I'm dying with laughter, Lynne. Yep, both those films are awful. And, Wilson would have added tremendously to both. I couldn't finish "All is Lost," even though I love Robert Redford. Gravity was just so ho-hum I cannot imagine it for Best Picture.
DeleteI am looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful dresses! I hope that you are having a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love your choices for tonight's Oscar gowns. Or at least what we hope and dream the gowns may be. To inspire us all to reach beyond our usual designer favorites. I wrote a poem about a young Emma, a fashionista just on the brink of fame, one day I will share it on my blog. But for tonight I hope to see the very confident actresses wear exquisite yet to be noticed brilliantly designed oscar worthy fashions. Or vintage Valentino is always a personal favorite.
ReplyDeletePersonally I was mesmerized by Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine, she excelled at a woman in the throws of a nervous breakdown and I want her to win best actress. Other than this voiced opinion I really have no strong award choices. Will enjoy the show with Ellen hosting, while we again for the 18th time this winter are blanketed with a major snow storm.
